Rock & Roar is the story of Miles Kitteridge, a streetwise feline and aspiring young musician trying to find his place in the world. It is a graphic novel about an animal rock band in the 80s, made for music lovers and anyone who’s ever dreamed big.
Rock & Roar is a passion project born out of the author’s love of rock music history, and an adventure story suitable for a general audience. The comic updates with a new page every Tuesday between the hours of 8pm and 9pm PST.
ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Hi! I’m Abigail Muñoz. I’m a Los Angeles-based concept artist working in animation and games, and Rock & Roar is my personal project.
My love of music started with my dad, who DJ’d all throughout the 80s and amassed an enormous record collection. From the time I was little, he showed me how to listen attentively to a song and appreciate its production. Needless to say, I turned out to have the same fascination for music, and I’ve long enjoyed researching the evolution of rock music across different genres and decades. Combined with my love of cartoon animation, it was only a matter of time before Rock & Roar was conceived in my head.
I first began to develop Rock & Roar as an art college student in 2012, and shared the first comic pages on this website in the summer of 2022.
